FTIA added several new faces to our staff in 2004. Our agency continued to grow to support an increase in our number of adoptions. As indicated in the China report, the China team added three new coordinators in 2004: Nikki Bilderback, Nicole Simpson, and Charlene Drake.

Susan Wahlstrom provides support as an Intake Specialist to answer the questions of those who are considering adoption. As an FTIA veteran adopter, her personal experience ideally prepares her for this role.

Inessa Shiryeava, a coordinator in our Russian program, also joined FTIA in 2004 and was introduced in an earlier newsletter.

Maureen O'Connor came onboard in September as Associate Director. In this role, she is responsible for the business aspects of our agency. She took the place of Doug Regin who left for a new opportunity. Doug had been with FTIA for three years and helped guide the agency through years of rapid growth and its move to our new building.
