China Special Needs
FTIA's commitment to China's most special children started
on a very cold day in Urumqi in January 1997. This was the day we met Xiao Li.
She was & is a beautiful girl who had suffered from a terrible accident.
The orphanage director asked us if we could find a home for her. Our answer was
of course. We could see a beautiful & intelligent girl that so many
families would want to adopt. Since that day, we have had the honor of placing
many of China's most special children. FTIA has had different authorized
special needs programs over the years. Currently we have the Jing Yi program
where we are working with several orphanages in an area of China that do not
have a history of working with international adoption. We are partnering with
others to improve the conditions & equipment at the orphanages as well as
training & bringing much needed medical services.
