Although many reading this information about travel may be dreading it, most of you will eventually consider your trip to Guatemala one of the highlights of your life. Please check with our references, and you'll see what we mean.
We can arrange for an escort service from Guatemala, but we will only do so if there are valid reasons why you cannot travel.
From the time you land in Guatemala until you board your jet homeward bound, you are with our representative (or our representative is a phone call away) who travels with you during your stay in Guatemala.
Travel to Guatemala is very easy. Typically, our families fly to Miami, Atlanta, or Houston and then to Guatemala City. In Guatemala City, you will be met by our representative or if you prefer, you can take a hotel shuttle. There are many nice hotels we can recommend to you in Guatemala City.
Since your adoption is completed prior to your travel through your power of attorney, your trip is usually about three (3) days. You will receive your child shortly after your arrival, and he/she will be with you the rest of your trip. The paperwork to be completed in Guatemala during your trip is with the CIS/INS and the U.S. Embassy.
Shortly before you travel, we will send you a Travel Letter with a detailed itinerary of your trip and a list of items to pack and other useful information for your trip.
